An incredible trip to Iceland. It’s a truly unique country for photography lovers, offering an amazing variety of opportunities that go far beyond what you expect before arriving — especially when you travel with Pedro from Arte Nocturno. On top of being an outstanding professional and astrophotographer, he knows the country extremely well and understands exactly where to be and when. The whole experience was magical, but the Northern Lights were the icing on the cake. To see them properly, you really need to go with someone who knows where and when to be — even if that sometimes means getting less sleep than you’d like.

Northern Lights, Iceland. Also in Atacama and Uyuni.

Over the weekend of June 27–29, I took part in a Milky Way workshop with Pedro Martínez from Arte Nocturno in La Palma. Pedro is very approachable, and his explanations are always clear and concise. He guides you every step of the way and leaves no room for doubt. He’s a true professional, and I hope to join more workshops with him in the future.

Milky Way Workshop - La Palma

Absolutely delighted. I traveled with Pedro a couple of years ago to the Atacama Desert in Chile, and just a few weeks ago I joined him again in La Palma, in the Canary Islands. Both workshops were incredible experiences. But beyond that, I learned more about photography in those few days than I usually do over the rest of the year. He’s a true professional with extensive knowledge of photography, especially night photography. It’s genuinely an experience worth having, and when you get back home, you really feel how much you’ve learned. Thank you so much for everything — I’m already looking forward to signing up for the next workshop.

Photo Tour - Atacama and La Palma

I enjoyed a short but intense astrophotography workshop with Pedro in La Palma. He adapted brilliantly to the unexpected issues caused by the airline and gave us an unforgettable second night of shooting. His knowledge of the location is outstanding, he provides constant guidance, and he comes up with plenty of ideas and suggestions so you return home with spectacular raw files. He combines real expertise in both shooting and editing, and later takes those raws to another level with his workflow, producing the kind of images that leave you speechless.

Milky Way Workshop - La Palma

I joined Pedro’s La Palma workshop, and I’d like to say that we had a flight issue that was completely outside his control, and he adapted to the situation perfectly. Thank you.

As for Pedro, his command of the technique is truly impressive, and he explains everything in a clear, easy-to-understand way. Once we were out on location, he guided us with shooting spots, image composition, and camera settings, and we even had the chance to try out a tracker. Up to that point, everything had already been excellent, but what really blew me away was the editing session with the images we had taken as a group. He walked us through the process step by step until we ended up with truly spectacular photographs.

Without a doubt, I’ll join another workshop with Pedro again in the future.

An incredible weekend at Pedro’s workshop in La Palma. His exceptional knowledge of the area took us to spectacular locations under stunning starry skies.
What really makes the difference is his constant support in the field, his patience, and the personalized guidance that truly motivates you to learn. The editing workshop is the perfect finishing touch, where you learn the process for making your work really shine.
Top-level support, both personally and photographically. Highly recommended!

Milky Way Workshop - La Palma

It was an unforgettable experience — the thrill of the auroras, the country’s wild contrasts, the close bond we built as a group and how much I already miss everyone, and Pedro’s constant support not only with photography, but with everything else as well. I’d do it again in a heartbeat.

Northern Lights, Iceland. Also in La Palma.

The goal of the trip was achieved beyond expectations. On a personal level, it gave me a whole new way of seeing and learning. Pedro’s coordination throughout the entire experience was simply outstanding. I would travel with Pedro again without hesitation. The group was extraordinary. If we were able to enjoy nights of aurora photography, it was because we knew exactly how to make it happen — on our own, we never could have done it. It exceeded all my expectations. THANK YOU, PEDRO, for being such an incredible person.

Northern Lights in Iceland: Two Different Routes.

One day, a “train” pulled into the station, with a driver named Pedro at the front, and I decided to get on and not let it pass me by. That train took us on a fast-paced but WONDERFUL adventure: the world of photography, where images can reveal the greatness of our universe and express what words simply cannot capture. THANK YOU.

I loved the workshop! It was such a beautiful experience. Huge thanks to Pedro and Alexis for four magical nights under the stars in incredible locations, with a really great group. You always put us first and were incredibly attentive and available at all times to guide us, teach us, and even pose for photos. Thank you!

They turned a photo tour into a true experience. Their warmth, technical expertise, and generosity were the foundation that made it all possible.

I think the best way to describe what it was like is to say that I’d go back again right now.
Thank you so much for everything, Alexis and Pedro.

I wanted to leave a testimonial and acknowledgment for Pedro, for his incredible dedication to sharing his knowledge, his excellent teaching style, and his ability to adapt to each student’s level. He brings so much passion to teaching, along with creativity, responsibility, genuine empathy, and great charisma. A person I recommend 200%.

Private course

I’m an amateur photographer, especially passionate about nightscape astrophotography. On this workshop, we were taken to incredibly beautiful locations under spectacular skies. Alexis and Pedro were always ready to help, offering valuable guidance on both technique and composition.

I also discovered Art Panel Pro, and even though I’m just starting to use it, I truly feel my photo editing will never be the same. It comes with an excellent training course to help you learn how to use it. 100% recommended.

Photo Tour - Northern Lights, Iceland

My second time in the Atacama Desert, and just like the first, it was an unforgettable experience. Capturing the incredible nightscapes this part of the world has to offer is simply mind-blowing — even more so in the company of two great photographers, wonderful people, and inspiring mentors.

Pedro is always willing to help with any questions while you’re shooting, so you can get the best capture possible. One hundred percent recommended if you want to learn night photography or deepen the knowledge you already have. As for me, I’m truly grateful for your generosity in sharing your techniques, for your endless patience, dedication, and professionalism… ✨

Photo Tour - Atacama, Chile

ATACAMA, A JEWEL FOR NIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY.

As a photographer and frequent traveler, one photo tour I had always dreamed of doing was the Atacama Desert. The driest desert in the world, with more than 350 days a year without rain or clouds. It was undoubtedly one of the best night photography trips I’ve ever been on. Guided by Pedro Martínez from Arte Nocturno and renowned astrophotographer Alexis Trigo, we were able to photograph the spectacular skies of the Atacama region while learning from their deep knowledge and experience of shooting in the Southern Hemisphere.

The people I met were amazing and a lot of fun — photographers from Spain, Uruguay, Mexico, and Chile. There was such a great sense of camaraderie, and so many laughs. I miss it so much. All in all, it was an incredible experience, and I can honestly say that a trip with Pedro and Alexis is an absolute must if you love night photography. I’ve never seen skies as spectacular as those in Atacama, from dreamy sunsets and the alignment of the Moon with Venus, to Orion making its appearance, and finally those breathtaking Milky Way scenes. A TRIP WORTH REPEATING! Thank you, Pedro and Alexis.
